Customer Question

Customer: ***** *****
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: Maybe, my older dog was diagnosed with giardia and we are pending a more in depth stool sample to make sure he doesn't have anything else along with parvo. I have a 5 month old puppy that cameback positive for parvo, however she is doing pretty well. The older dog however is extremely tired and not doing so well. I believe he may have an additional parasite or worm even though I recently did a deworming on him.
JA: OK got it. I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. I'm not certain what your question is. Was your older dog also tested for parvo? Parvo would be more likely to cause your older dog's malaise than would giardia. The anemia that hookworms can produce would be another important differential diagnosis for such a patient. Please respond with additional information and further questions or concerns if you wish.
