My dog (8 years old Min poodle mix) has been visited by a dog that came down with dog flu (or a similar infection.) Should I get my dog vaccinated?

At this point, vaccinating her will not prevent illness if she has already been exposed. We can't say for sure that she will become ill at this point though. It is important to know what the other dog has - canine influenza is very serious and could be fatal. Kennel cough is a different respiratory infection which is not very serious. Can you recall specifically what they said?
