Please don't be alarmed. A 5.5 lb dog would need to ingest ~ 1.8 ounces of pure dark chocolate to intoxicate himself with the theobromine in chocolate which appears as a vomiting, agitated, or tremoring dog. 4.5 grams represents just 0.15 of an ounce. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
