My 3 year old chocolate lab Gibson, throws up every couple

Customer Question

My 3 year old chocolate lab Gibson, throws up every couple weeks. Hes active and acting normal.
He able to poop during these episodes and theres no blood or anything. I think he has a sensitive stomach. It was recommended I give him pepsid when he does this and I do and he kerps food down. I want to make sure this isnt pointing to a serious problem. Thanks, barb

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.

How long has he been showing these episodes?

What is he bringing up in his vomit?

Any changes to his drinking or appetite at these times?

Has he had any issues with belly discomfort or pain with these?

Is he the kind of Lab that would pick up odd bits of food, plants, etc. on walks or at home?

Are his stools ever black?
