I gave my 75lb boxer a 60lb Trifexislast night and my daughter gave him a 40-60lb Trifexis an hour ago Is that an overdose?

Hello!Thank you for your question, I'm Dr. Dan and I'll try to help you. Yes technically it is an overdose but not all overdoses are harmful. In this case it is certainly not a harmful dose. This particular medication can be given at 6 and 10x overdose without any problem at all. As long as your boxer has had this medication before and has not shown any problems or allergic reaction to the medication before then an extra dose will not cause a problem either and he should be just fine.
