Customer Question

I made a batch (around 50) of dog treats tonight. I thought they would be so healthy made with Banana and carrots. They called for vegetable oil and I didn't have any so I used a 1/3 cup (per the recipe) of grapeseed oil. My year old dog ate three over the past few hours and I suddenly remembered that grapes were very poisonous for dogs so I am very worried now about what she has eaten. Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, grapes are toxic. Raisins are far worse. But!

The amount of the grapeseed oil contained in a few cookies is of no toxicity concern at all.

I would still advise to watch for any vomiting or diarrhea (generally gastrointestinal upset), but that is about it.

There is no indication to induce vomiting or need for emergency care with 3 cookies ingested.

Hope that information helps
