My dog electric collar was to tight and has caused a burn

Hi my dog electric collar was to tight and has caused a burn like wound on his neck. I have took the collar off him. What should I do next?

Unless the wound needs surgical debridement because there is dead or dying tissue that needs to be removed, you need only cleanse the wound with over the counter chlorhexidine (Hebiclens) and then coat it with an antibacterial cream or ointment twice daily until it scabs over, the scab falls off, and you see normal skin underneath.
