My 9 year old female shih tzu is having bladder problems.

Customer Question

My 9 year old female shih tzu is having bladder problems. Has had three antiobics. Now the urine sample is clear but she is still squatting alot of times but usually goes away in a day. Have any ideas? One night she slept in our shower.

I am sorry to hear you are worried about Queenie. My name is Rebecca. I am a veterinarian and will do my best to help.

I see that a urine sample was analyzed. Has she had a urine culture done, where the urine is sent to to lab to identify what bacteria is causing the infection, and what antibiotic that particular bacteria is most sensitive to?

Is Queenie spayed?
