My yorkie poodle mix passed 3 dead puppies within a 24 hour

Customer Question

My yorkie poodle mix passed 3 dead puppies within a 24 hour period. I can't take her to a vet for about 3 more hours. What should I do in the meantime?

I thought it was 24 hours, but I think it's been longer than that. I'm trying to figure out what to do until our vet opens up in 2.5 hrs. Please help!

Posted by JustAnswer at customer's request) Hello. I would like to request the following Expert Service(s) from you: Live Phone Call. Let me know if you need more information, or send me the service offer(s) so we can proceed.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. If your dam is otherwise well, there's no need to do anything until she can be palpated and possibly X-rayed or preferably ultrasounded by her vet. Ultrasound is preferable because it can "see" the heart beat which tells us that a remaining pup is still vital.

I regret that my state board of veterinary examiners doesn't allow my speaking with customers by phone in this venue. Please stay in this conversation if you wish.

No. I had already taken her to the vet by the time I received your response. I will be requesting a refund for the fees incurred. Thanks.
