I gave my miniature fox terrier (12yo) a lamb bone this

Customer Question

I gave my miniature fox terrier (12yo) a lamb bone this morning and yesterday morning for a short time. I think he has developed pancreatitis. What can I do to help him with his symptoms? Sore tummy - not bloated, lethargic.

Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. Is he vomiting? Is he eating? Is there pain when you press into his abdomen? Did he eat the bone or just chew on it a bit?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Hi Dr. Gabby,
Yes he did vomit last night. I didn't feed him but there was water available. He was in a great deal of pain last night and was trembling. This morning he seems fine, back to his old self and hungry! I thought just a little bit of marrow, especially chewing on a bone, would be good for him but I was wrong!! No more bones for TJ.
Thanks for the reply.
