My 8 month old pug had decided she loves eating the berries

Customer Question

Hi. My 8 month old pug had decided she loves eating the berries from my dogwood tree. Maybe it gave her diarrhea, though I'm not sure.

The dogwood plant isn't on the ASPCA poison plant list and this site: indicates that it isn't toxic as well. Eating such an unusual food, however, can cause gastrointestinal distress in dogs. Jelly will remain safe and hopefully learn to associate eating those berries with her discomfort of diarrhea. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
