Finasteride may be tried in dogs with benign prostatic hypertrophy. Dosages of up to 0.25 mg/lb are often noted but dosages are often rounded to the nearest full or half tablet (2.5 or 5 mg). One study done in dogs reported no adverse effects or irreversibility of effects (minor sexual side effects) after treating for 21 weeks at 0.5 mg/lb. There's a good chance that Pepper will remain unaffected. I wouldn't induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.

Hi Earl,
I'm just following up on our conversation about Pepper. How is everything going?
