My 14 yr old diabetic silky terrier is getting over

Customer Question

My 14 yr old diabetic silky terrier is getting over pancreatitis- was on fluids in hospital for 3 days. Now they put him on flagyl, baytril, keppra (which he was already on for seizures), and his insulin. Reading online that flagyl can cause pancreatitis. Did the vet mess up? He's been sleeping non stop since I've had him home. For about 72 hours - minus eating and peeing

Hi, I can help you with your question today. We do not routinely prescribe antibiotics for dogs with pancreatitis. Is he also having diarrhea? Did he ever have a fever?
