Hello doctor I am disabled and have all my household supplies delivered. Box came liquid drain cleaner was broken my 58 lb old English bull dog swallowed about a quarter size saturated piece of the box I immediately gave him milk

You did just what you should have done. The liquid drain cleaner is likely to contain the caustic lye (sodium hydroxide) and caustics don't have specific antidotes and so we attempt to dilute them by encouraging fluid intake - milk, cream, soups, bouillon - whatever you can get Shrek to drink until he won't drink anymore. Then we administer an over the counter antacid such as famotidine (Pepcid) at a dose of 0.25 mg/lb and repeat the dose in 12 hours. Omeprazole (Prilosec) is a good alternative and need only be administered once.
