Hello, thanks for writing in. My name is***** and I would be happy to help you. I do have a few questions to see if I can better help your situation.

How long has this been going on for?

Any vomiting or diarrhea?

How is his appetite?

Expert:  Dr. Michael Salkin replied 1 year ago.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Drooling and epiphora (watery eyes) are autonomic signs suggestive of nausea and perhaps gastroesophageal reflux (GERD, acid reflux, hearburn). Such GI distress can arise after a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) such as carprofen (Rimadyl) is administered and so administration of the Rimadyl needs to be stopped at this time. Please clarify the dose. A Boston might receive no more than 25 mg of Rimadyl twice daily.

I, too, would like to know how long Otto has been symptomatic, if vomiting or diarrhea have arisen and if he still has an appetite. Please respond with additional information and further questions or concerns if you wish.
