My granddaughter got on a low swing with her miniature

Customer Question

My granddaughter got on a low swing with her miniature poodle; she started to fall and he jumped. In doing so he hurt himself (they certainly can let you know they are injured) which has added to her trauma. He is unable to bear any weight on his little right leg. He is able to walk on his other three feet but I cannot touch that leg. Otherwise he is not whimpering and does not seem to be distressed. This occurred about 40 minutes ago. Help.

Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. If he is completely refusing to bear any weight on that leg it could be fractured. Is it a hind leg or front leg? Do you live near an veterinary emergency clinic?
