Customer Question

Hi, my dog (8yr old female, Manchester terrier, 25lbs) ate a whole loaf of moldy bread, Thurs evening, 6-7pm. She was fine Fri but was slow to eat today and has now thrown up 5 or 6 times and is very lethargic and her breathing is very shallow . I’m very concerned she might have a bowel blockage??? I have ALS and am home by myself, can’t get her to a vet hospital.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.
Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:
Does Daisy's belly appear distended?
Are her gums pink or pale/white?
Can you take a breathing rate for me (just count her breaths for 10 seconds + multiply that by 6)?
When did she last pass stool?
What did she bring up in her vomit?
