My 7 month old rottie, jumped off of a deck about 15-20 foot

Customer Question

My 7 month old rottie, jumped off of a deck about 15-20 foot tall. She barely made a sound. She has been limping ever since. I have looked @her leg several times put pressure up and down her leg, nothing. So tonight I outstretched and when I brought it back toward her body she showed me that it hurt. I am thinking she had a shoulder injury, but was hoping to bypass surgery.. What would you recommend?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.
Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but can you tell me:
When did the trauma happen?
Can you confirm it is a foreleg?
How much weight is she putting on it? Minimal, light, or is the limp slight?
Has the limp improved at all since this happened?
What have you done so far besides palpate the leg?
