My daughter's dog was sprayed by a skunk. I'm on the phone

Customer Question

My daughter's dog was sprayed by a skunk. I'm on the phone with her. She's trying the hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dish soap to wash and completely overwhelmed. Also seeing the dog bleeding from her skin?? The dog has a fine coat, like a pit, white with some dermatitis issues???

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. While skunk spray is certainly irritating, it's not expect to cause skin bleeding. I would postulate that pre-existing skin inflammation has been exacerbated by her bathing or perhaps flea feces are being dissolved by the bathing and your daughter is seeing the blood that such feces consists of. Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
