Hello, Sorry to hear about Chocolat.Well, not, not just a cold bug. That would infer a viral infection like we get. Usually, if a dog has a upper respiratory infection, it is bacterial. That is why vets very quickly prescribe courses of antibiotics for respiratory infections. Also, at this age, you have to proceed with caution. Sneezing can also be induced by nasal polyps, a tumor, and allergies. So, if observing sneezing bouts, its well worth a vet vet visit to start appropriate therapy. Hope that info helps.Good Luck!Dr. Andy
