Our Bichon, 5 yrs, neutered male, has an umbilical hernia.

Customer Question

Our Bichon, 5 yrs, neutered male, has an umbilical hernia. It has always been squishy and any tissue 'protruding' was easily moved back in. Tonight it is hard and dark and won't move. I noticed it as he was running around playfully. The hernia is a out 2cm --cherry tomato size- always.

Hi, this is Dr. Gabby. When you say it is dark, what color is it? Does it bother him when you tried to put it back in? Is he still acting normally?
