I gave my 18ish lb pug .5 mg ativan fireworks anxiety.

Customer Question

I gave my 18ish lb pug .5 mg ativan for severe fireworks anxiety. She is loopy & stumbling a bit. I gave her 10mg acepromazine as well & it didn't work last year & was not working tonight. I'm a little worried.

I might dose lorazepam (Ativan) at up to 0.25 mg/lb and so 0.5 mg is a very small dose for Lohke. 10 mg of Acepromazine is appropriate. The combination of the two, however, would be expected to cause just what you're witnessing. There's no reason to think she's in danger, however. I would expect her to normalize within 6-12 hours.
