Our dog is a 15-year-old dachshund with a tumor on his spleen.

Customer Question

Our dog is a 15-year-old dachshund with a tumor on his spleen. He had been given 3-5 weeks to live (but is still with us 3-4 weeks longer) and his stomach has become bloated. Tonight he has not been unable to relax or get comfortable; he has trouble moving in different positions. He is still eating well and wags his tail. Tonight is the first one where he has been unable to get comfortable. Can you please recommend something to help his relax? Many, many thanks. ***** ***@******.***

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Narcotic analgesia is part of good hospice care. Were you given tramadol, morphine, or buprenorphine to give Dusty? If not, do you have such a drug at home for humans?
