hi Michael my 6.5 ye old Dottie started limping a day ago and whining. I gave him some pain medicine buprenorphin we had last year but he has excessive thirst. Lose stool from medicine I expect. And soreness around hips. Excessive thirst and tender to touch in the rear hip area. Hoping it's just arthritis. Trying to go to vet tomorrow. Should I give him more medicine to calm him again tonight to sleep? Medicine was expired a year ago...

Buprenorphine is quite stable. I doubt it lost much potency even a year after expiration. How long ago did you last dose Fonzie, please?
