Customer Question

My dog feels sweaty. I know dogs don't normally sweat. She was at the vet the other day for some shots and her temp was normal. This has happened a few times.

Aloha! You're speaking to Dr. Michael Salkin
I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Dogs do sweat - sometimes quite profusely. Epitrichial sweat glands are located below the sebaceous glands. They're largest and most numerous near mucocutaneous junctions (such as where lips meet the oral mucosa), in interdigital (between the toes) spaces, and over the dorsal neck and rump. Atrichial sweat glands are found only in the footpads.
As long as Zanie is otherwise normal, her sweating should be considered so as well.
