Customer Question

Hi, my female toy poodle age 14, had an invasive surgery a month ago and the vet had told us her wound was healing well. after removing the lump it was found that she has mammary cancer of the highest grade (iii), and the vet wasn't sure if the lumps were completely removed because too much had been taken out. Now, one month after surgery, blister-like sores are appearing all over her inner thighs and spreading to her hind legs. Do you have any idea what's causing this? She is clearly in pain as she has no appetite, she isn't walking, and is breathing very hard and fast even while she rests.

Are these blisters painful, or itchy?

If she were my dog, I would do a needle biopsy of the blister, so I could look at the cells inside them under a microscope. I would want to be sure these are not related to the cancer.

These could be infections and may clear up with antibiotics. They could be an allergic reaction. A needle biopsy would tell you what they are
