Hi, I am low income, and I have a dog with a UT infection. I bought tetracycline will that work and what is the dosage?

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Tetracycline isn't a first-choice antibiotic when addressing a UTI but can be effective if the bacteria present are susceptible to that antibiotic. Dosing is recommended at 10 mg/lb every 8 hours for 10-14 days. It's usually well-tolerated but can cause gastrointestinal distress - inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea - in some dogs.
