I have 2 puppies, 4 months old and one has recently

Customer Question

Hello, I have 2 puppies, 4 months old and one has recently became very inactive and has also just recently started throwing up a bubbly saliva like substance. They are both very skinny. What can I do?

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.
Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner. If you would still like assistance, can you tell me:
How long has he been showing signs?
What is he bringing up in his vomit?
Can he keep water down?
Are his gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?
If you press on his belly, does he have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?
Could he have eaten anything he should not have (ie bones, stones, socks, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?
Any diarrhea?
Has either pup been wormed?

He just started showing signs and his vomit just looks like saliva. He seems to be able to keep water down. I haven't checked his gums yet. No he hasn't eaten anything other than dog food. And no neither one has.

Thank you,
Since we seem to be playing a bit of time zone tag:
Have you been able to check those extra parameters?
Any history of worming or eating odd items?
Any diarrhea?
