My puppy is 10 months old and has had runny diarrhea the last

Customer Question

My puppy is 10 months old and has had runny diarrhea the last couple days. I just noticed a little blood on the bowel. What could possibly be causing this and is there anything I can do to help her get better. I don't have a lot of money to take her to the vet but iLife I have to I will.

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you with your wee one today.
How much blood did you see? A spoonful, more, less?
Did the blood only start in the last bowel movement?
What did the diarrhea look like?
Is she eating, drinking, and can she keep water down?
Are her gums nice and pink (not white/pale)? Moist or sticky?
If you press on her belly, does she have any tensing, tenderness, discomfort, or pain?
Could she have eaten anything she should not have (ie bones, stones, socks, toys, plants, chemicals, human meds, etc)?
