Aloha! You're speaking with Dr. Michael Salkin
I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner and I regret that I can't correspond with you outside of this venue. Vomiting for more than 72 hours indicates having Damian checked by his vet. Vomiting is an important symptom but it isn't pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any one disorder.
If Damian is a young dog, foreign body ingestion and a dietary ingestion (eating something new, inappropriate, spoiled) are common etiologies of vomiting. In older dogs we're more concerned with metabolic diseases that can result in vomiting.
Vomiting is difficult to manage at home (except by fasting) because anything administered orally may not stay down. Vets will address vomiting with injectable antiemetic and antacid drugs and are likely to perform diagnostics in the form of blood and urine tests and X-rays or ultrasound of the abdomen in these dogs.
Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
