Customer Question

Why would our dog run from room to room like it is crazy all of a sudden. Could he have fleas?

Welcome to JustAnswer. I'm a licensed veterinarian and I'll be happy to help. Fleas are a good guess. If a dog is allergic to flea bites it can take only one occasional flea to set them off.
Does he have any symptoms of flea allergy? Itchiness, red and inflamed skin with scabs usually, and fur loss are all possible symptoms of flea allergy.
To be the effective in hunting for fleas you should use a flea comb. But without one, look carefully at his rump area and his belly. If you see any little black specks, this could be flea debris.
