Hello there,

How high is the fever?

Is the dog vomiting?

Is she eating and drinking?

How long has this been going on?

Did she get into anything you know of?
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
I don't know--her tongue is very warm and so are her ears--I don't have a rectal thermometer. She is not vomiting. She is eating & drinking fine. A couple of days. Not that I know of.

She doesn't want to jump up on my chair or run up the stairs. Lethargic.
She has had stomach aches before that she acted like this and I gave her milk of magnesia and she was better the next day.

If she is eating and drinking normally buffered aspirin can be used at 5 mg per pound body weight every 12-24 hours as needed for fever. It must be given with food. Ascriptin, aspirin coated with Maalox, is best. Pepcid AC can be used at 2.5 mg per 10 pounds body weight every 24 hours as needed to settle the stomach.
