Hello,

This is Dr. Christian. Welcome to JustAnswer.

  • How much does they weigh?
  • How long ago did they eat it?
  • Do they have any medical conditions or take other medications?
  • How much did they eat and did they eat the a plastic trap containing the poison?

she weights 8lbs , about 15 min ogo she ate it , no med conditions , she ate a 20 inch line of poison i just put out

The first thing to do is to induce vomiting with a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. You can give it again in 10 minutes if needed. Then check the label for the active ingredient and let me know what it is.

fipronil is the active ingredientin the poison and i tryed the peroxide and still no vomiting
Keep trying the peroxide. The good news is that fipronil is a very a safe product overall (frontline contains fipronil for isntance) and the concentration in roach poisons is very low as well so this probably won't cause her any problems. But to be safe it is best to get her to vomit since she is a small dog and she ate a fairly large amount. If she won't vomit with the peroxide then take her to an emergency vet to induce vomiting. It needs to be done within an hour of ingestion. If you do get her to vomit then you can watch at home for problems and have her seen if they occur. Symptoms would be vomiting, lethargy, twitching, shaking and confusion. If you have more questions please reply back.

what will the peroxide do if i cant get hert to the vet and we cant go to vet we dont have a liscence to drive anything?
The peroxide is used only to get her to vomit. There aren't any over the counter treatments that can help if she starts to show symptoms. A vet can give fluids and medications to reduce the symptoms until the fipronil is out of her system. Perhaps you can get someone to drive you to the pet ER if she ends up needing to go.
