Is Zantac safe for dogs? In what doses and frequency?

This answer was rated:

Can you give zantac to dogs, if so, what dose and how frequently?

Already Tried:
She has been having blood in her stools. She is on 40mg. lasix for CHF and was on 2.5mg of enalapril which has been stopped for now. Had been giving her glucosamine as well, but she has been refusing it the last couple of days. I am not financially able to get her a complete workup, like she should have. So have been trying to treat the symptoms.

How much does she weigh?

So I can best make a dose for your dog that is also convenient, what size (milligrams) Zantac pills do you have?

Customer: replied 6 years ago.

I have zantc 150mg tabs. I should also mention that she has also been having loose stools.

Based on your dog's weight you should give 1/8 of a Zantac tablet every 12 hours.

If that is not possible you can give 1/4 tablet once per day.

I hope this information helps!
