Dr. Louis Gotthelf :

Just because a dog does not poop that does not mean that anything is wrong. If there is a tense, tight belly, or a large amount of gas being produced, that might be something to worry about.

Dr. Louis Gotthelf :

How long has he been getting the pumpkin?

Customer :

It is going to take a few days of pumpkin for it to get through the bowels. Pumpkin just bulks up the stool so it is softer and easier to pass. If he hasn't had a bowel movement in 3 days, then he may need an enema.
