Is a Praying Mantis Poisonous to Dogs?

A praying mantis is not toxic to dogs. The most you have to worry about is some gastrointestinal irritation from the spikes on their limbs. Otherwise, it shouldn't cause a problem. I would just add some fiber into his diet. Pureed canned pumpkin works well. It will help increase fecal bulk and push the mantis through his digestive tract faster.
