Matt_DVM :

This sounds like it might be neurologic disease. I have to recommend seeing your vet. Sometimes it is what is called old dog vestibular syndrome. This is where older dogs have a vascular accident and it messes up their vestibular part inside the head. Often times the head will tilt and the eyes will move back and forth ....This usually resolves itself in about 2 weeks. I do recommend an exam to rule out other problems like brain tumors or spinal infections .....
