Can a human get pneumonia from a dog
Hello,

For the most part, no. Most of the viral pneumonias are species specific and a low risk of interspecies transfer. Most bacterial pneumonia are not going to be highly transmissible unless the person coming in contact with the dog is immunosupressed by having AIDS, on chemotherapy, or immunosupressive medication.

Hope that helps,
