boxer: my 9 year..came home..left leg..we treated her wtih steroids…

Customer Question
Hi Dr. Duncan, my 9...
Hi Dr. Duncan, my 9 year old boxer underwent surgery last year to remove two fatty tumors. When she came home from procedure her real left leg was slipping out from her. Vet said it was anesthesia related. This got worse over time we treated her wtih steroids and pain killers. Switched vets and decided to get mri...resulting in finding she has 2 bulging discs and nerve compression. Was told surgery wasnt 100%. We are at a loss. Now she is having such difficulty using rear legs at all fall all the time...Would you suggest getting surgery and what is the likelyhood that it can at least help her to walk a bit.??Please help. heartbroken, Danielle
