how do i get a sticker out of my dogs paw?

You live in California so I assume the sticker is a grass awn we call fox tails. If a little is sticking out then of course take tweezers and pull it out. You may need to soak the paw for 10 minutes 3 times a day in epsom salts and comfortably hot water to try to make it come out. Sometimes hydrogen peroxide squeezed into the hole will flush it out, but basically you have to go to your veterianrian. They are difficult to find and will need to be explored surgically under anesthetic. He will need anti biotics too. Even then there are times when I do not find the foxtail on the first try as they migrate up the leg.
