Does he have any swelling around his eyes or of his muzzle?
Is he vomiting at all?
Any diarrhea?

No he does not have no vomiting or diarrhea. Seems to be very tired. No swelling that i can tell.

Ok good,

It sounds like his signs are pretty vague. The tongue swelling could be a mild allergic reaction- typically we'll also see swelling around the eyes and of the muzzle, but not always. You could try a dose of Benadryl to get that down- 1 mg/lb every 6-8 hours as needed. The one hesitation I'd have is the lethargy as Benadryl will cause some mild sedation and may make that a little worse.

The licking may also be some mild esophagitis if he ate something that bothered him. For this you can give Pepcid (Famotidine) at 0.25 mg/lb- likely 1/4 of a 10 mg tab in this dog. I would try a dose tonight and then just watch him to see if things are resolving by morning.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
