Is there a way to make your female dog come into heat sooner.

Resolved Question:

Is there a way to make your female dog come into heat sooner. I bought 2 females in september. One is 4 yrs and the other is 1 1/2 yrs. I am ready to breed them so is there something I can buy that will make them come into heat?

Hi, I am Dr. Peter and would like to help. In response to your question, there is nothing that you can buy or give to make them go into heat sooner. But, if you have them hang around a non neutered male, that may help accelarate the process.

If you have additional questions I will be glad to answer them.

I have a total of 3 females and one should be coming back into heat soon. I have heard that this will cause the others to also come into heat, is this true. Also, the other two have been around a non nuetured female the entire time. This is going on my yorkies second time coming into heat since september. She is starting to hump on things. I wish there were some kind of pill to help the others along. I have found this. What do you think? Will it possibly help them to come into heat?

No, this will not. It is a supplement for all stages including pregnancy; it has licorice root and that is a natural steroid. There is nothing that can cause a dog to come into heat sooner.
