I have a 2010...

I have a 2010 dodge caliber with a p0507 idle air control system rpm too high code. The car goes into limp mode with the red lightning symbol illuminated. I already changed my throttle body and did the key on / off relearn, but the problem still persists, any ideas?

Aftermarket. I did a little more diagnosis since. The car runs good when cold. When it wants to slow down when warm. I hear a vacuum leak on the belt side of the engine.

Both p2173 and p0507 codes.

Try spraying the intake down with throttle body cleaner while the engine is at idle. Listen for rpm to change. You need a scan tool that is able to read you fuel trims.

At present my problem is not duplicating. I had cleared all codes, disconnected the battery, then later reprogrammed the throttle body. For a while I was able to use propane to increase the rpm around the 1st fuel injector. Possible intake manifold gasket leak. Ill have to wait for the engine to cool down to see if it duplicates

You could be getting a better seal when the engine is warm.
