Hello and welcome to JustAnswer! I apologize for the extended wait time you experienced, I've only just come online now and would like to assist you with your question.

There are quite a few things that can cause the engine to die under load but there is a good chance the problem is related to the engine work that was done.

The first step in diagnosing the problem is to use a scan tool to see if any fault codes are setting. Have you checked for codes?

Was it running normally before the engine work was done?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
It had loss of power and really bad lifter knock it said it had a couple of bad injectors and I switched them but it does that same thing
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Have you checked for codes?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Yea it has a p0300
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Are you using an actual scan tool or a code reader?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
It’s a scan tool

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Not anymore
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Will it count misfires under load?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
No just shows p0300 new coils and injectors
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

P0300 is a multi cylinder misfire code. It's counting misfires on misfire monitor if a P0300 is setting. The first thing that needs to be done is determine what cylinders are missing.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
That’s the thing there no cylinders misfiring I was thinking it might be out of time
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Multiple cylinders are misfiring, that's why it's setting the P0300.

It's very possible that the engine is out of time. What is cam/crank sync degrees at idle?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
It reads -5
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

That's pretty high.

Where did the replacement parts come from?

Were the timing chain or gears replaced?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Yea I replaced everything
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Where did the replacement parts come from?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Mostly dealer couldn’t find them anywhere else
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Can you explain how cam timing was set?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Well I put the crank sprocket at 6 o’clock with the guide in place and cam sprocket was at 12 o’clock I think
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Did you use the dots on the sprockets and plated links on the chains?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I just pulled out the spark plugs and some are black and some came out wet
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

What cylinders were wet and what was on them?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Mostly all of them are black I checked the cylinder compression and it’s at 150
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Are they actually wet or just black?

What cylinders?

What are they wet with?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
I only found one that was wet with gas the rest were black and they are new
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Check for spark on that cylinder.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
There is spark
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

I would recommend replacing the injector on that cylinder then.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Disregard the post before this, it won't edit.

Try replacing the plugs on that cylinder and see if it cleans up. If not then replace the injector.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
All the injectors are new I’m going to try to replace plugs and see what happens
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Ok.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Well I’ve tried everything and my scan tool just marked P0118 and p0335
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

What exactly has been done?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Changed plugs and put a new coolant temperature sensor
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

P0335 sets when crank sensor signal is erratic. If you don't see any visible wiring or connection issues then I would recommend replacing the sensor with a Mopar part.

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 7 months ago
Ok I’ll try that
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 7 months ago

Good luck!

I AM VERY GLAD THAT I TOOK A CHANCE ON YOUR PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. I WAS SUCCESSFUL IN REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. MY TRUCK RUNS LIKE A CLOCK. IT RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. NO LUNGING FORWARD, THE TURBO REACTS THE SECOND I STOMP ON THE GAS, AND IT HAS A LOT MORE POWER AND EVEN SOUNDS BETTER TO ME. IT SAVED ABOUT $500.00 BY DOING THE WORK MYSELF. I GIVE YOU ALL THE CREDIT FOR YOUR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, JUST FROM THE SYMPTONS I GAVE YOU OVER THE e MAIL. I WILL USE YOUR WEB SITE AGAIN AND REFER MY FRIENDS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP.
