Customer Question
I am having issue...

I am having issue with my clutch line popping out from the slave cylinder

Mechanic's Assistant: Has the clutch been slipping? Are you having any trouble shifting?

Clutch is not slipping. it will not shift when i lose pressure in the pedal

Mechanic's Assistant: What is the model/year of your Dodge?

2007 Caliper SXT 1.8L

Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?

I have replaced the clutch set, master cylinder, slave cylinder, flex line. I have bled the system different way, i.e gravity bled, or bleeding with depressed pedal.

Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

No thank you

There is a two piece line. One part is a flex hose, which is new. The other is a hard line, which is free flowing.
Dodge Mechanic: eric remington,

you do have it in correctly? you are sure?

Customer reply replied 10 months ago
The line and clutch set are Mopar parts. The slave and master cylinder are aftermarket parts from LUK. Everything was installed according to the service manual from dodge.
Dodge Mechanic: eric remington,

luk is good wrong part? damaged part? defects do happen? so return them the line and cylinder and try again

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 10 months ago
I am trying to get some more ideas on why the line builds enough pressure to pop the line on the slave cylinder
Dodge Mechanic: sprinkles08, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep master tech replied 10 months ago

It's building pressure because it's a hydraulic system which works off of pressure. Pressing the pedal creates pressure in the master cylinder which is transferred to the slave cylinder to push against the pressure plate fingers.

The line is popping off because it isn't assembled correctly, the line is damaged, or because of the aftermarket slave cylinder. If you're pushing it together fully the line and clip are undamaged, then you'll need a Mopar slave cylinder.
