Do you have a brake fluid leak?

Is the master cylinder still full?

Did you have to add any brake fluid?

Have you recently opened any brake lines or done any brake work?

Ask Your Own Dodge Question
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
No sir. All brake fluid and power steering fluidgood and never opened any brake lines ir any wheel or hub work
Dodge Mechanic: Mike S., ASE Certified Technician replied 9 months ago

I believe your next best bet is to have the trouble codes retrieved and see if any relate to the brakes.

Did that at oreilly auto. No codes show up
Customer reply replied 9 months ago
Their readers can read brake codes
Dodge Mechanic: Mike S., ASE Certified Technician replied 9 months ago

from what I just read, it says to replace the instrument cluster, Here is what I just read.

"

DIAGNOSTICS TESTS > TEST 22: ABS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If any instrument cluster DTCs are present, see SELF DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE in appropriate MITCHELL(R) manual. If no instrument cluster DTCs are present, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Observe instrument cluster lights. Turn ignition on. If ABS light illuminated for several seconds, go to next step. If ABS light did not illuminate, replace instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT in appropriate MITCHELL(R) manual.
  3. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, establish communication with CAB. When communication is established, use scan tool to read DTCs. If any CAB DTCs are present, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION table. If no CAB DTCs are present, go to next step.
  4. If there are no possible causes remaining, replace instrument cluster. See ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT in appropriate MITCHELL(R) manual."

Wow' never heard that one. Not saying it's not possible but the thing about his is both the ABS and Brake turn on. Gotta be some connection here. Instrument cluster would seem like there would be other funky lights coming in , etc. lots of blog traffic in this two light issue as well
Dodge Mechanic: Mike S., ASE Certified Technician replied 9 months ago

Well, both lights are in the instrument cluster,

What Customers are Saying:

I AM VERY GLAD THAT I TOOK A CHANCE ON YOUR PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS. I WAS SUCCESSFUL IN REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP. MY TRUCK RUNS LIKE A CLOCK. IT RUNS LIKE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT. NO LUNGING FORWARD, THE TURBO REACTS THE SECOND I STOMP ON THE GAS, AND IT HAS A LOT MORE POWER AND EVEN SOUNDS BETTER TO ME. IT SAVED ABOUT $500.00 BY DOING THE WORK MYSELF. I GIVE YOU ALL THE CREDIT FOR YOUR DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEM, JUST FROM THE SYMPTONS I GAVE YOU OVER THE e MAIL. I WILL USE YOUR WEB SITE AGAIN AND REFER MY FRIENDS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP.
