Dodge Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hello, my name is ***** ***** I'm here to help get your problem solved.
This code is not related to your stalling problem. When vehicle stalls does it restart right away or need to cool down first?
Have you done any testing during no start such as check for spark or fuel pressure? Thanks.
If spraying ether doesn't help this would mean problem is spark/ignition related. This usually means the crankshaft position sensor has failed or the PCM has failed. Next time problem happens bring a scantool with if possible so you can check codes during no start. IF scantool will not communicate with vehicle then replace PCM. If it will communicate then replace the crankshaft position sensor. The code you are getting either means the governor pressure solenoid or the governor pressure sensor has failed, usually the sensor. Let me know if you have more questions. Thanks.
Powertrain Control Module which is the main vehicle computer. Here is a link to buy one programmed to vin, let me know if you have questions. Thanks.
That code doesn't mean much as far as the vehicle not starting, you can replace the governor pressure sensor which will stop code but crank sensor or PCM is the most likely cause of vehicle shutting down and not starting. Let me know if you have questions, thanks.
That is just the freeze frame data showing what the sensors were reading when the P1763 code set.
Are you referring to the governor pressure sensor inside transmission?
There is only 1 and it is located inside the distributor.
