Nothing has been replaced for this condition at this time.
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 month ago.

Thank you for that information.

Would you like me to list the most likely possible causes for this condition?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
car will usually restart but has been getting harder to start recently. after it goes through it bought of dying for the day it will usually run ok until about the same point the next day
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
well I have looked up the most likely causes but yeah we can go through those
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 month ago.

Thank you for that information.

So what exactly is your question for me?

Are you looking for my opinion?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
my car randomly dies it needs to be fixed I need to know what is wrong so it may be fixed.
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 month ago.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.

The most likely possible cause would be the following...

  • Camshaft position sensor
  • Crankshaft position sensor
  • Fuel pump
  • Idle air control motor
  • Air/vacuum leak
  • Throttle position sensor

ok, so how do we go about figuring out which one of these parts are the issue.
as I said before I have gotten codes random multicylider misfire and crankshaft sensor circuit intermittent but after clearing codes they do not come back after it dies
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 month ago.

The correct way to diagnose this condition would be to check each component one by one.

You can use a voltmeter to check some of them, but the other ones you need more specialized equipment to pinpoint the root cause.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
ok so what is the first component and test?
Expert:  Amedee replied 1 month ago.

I would recommend to check the battery and check the idle air control motor using a scanner.

If that checks out good, the next thing to check would be for air/vacuum leaks.

Then the TPS sensor, cam and crank sensor.
