JA: Have you checked the fuel supply? And are all the spark plugs working?
Customer: yes worked fine before. have several wires not connected. new column does not have cruse
JA: What is the model of your '87 Dodge?
Customer: unknown. my truck is 90 se extended cab
JA: Are you fixing your Cab yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: all wires to column matched up. I have two single fm connections & 1 with 7 pins fm, which I can't find where they go. All electric items work, except will not crank

There are a handful of things that could be going on, especially depending on vehicle. You may have the wrong ignition switch, a bad ignition switch, a linkage issue, or the problem may be related to the wires you have left over. It's going to require some electrical testing to determine what is going on.
