first, lets try something simple,,
Remove both battery cables from the battery, turn on the ignition, touch and hold both the - and the + cables together for 5 seconds, turn off the ignition, then re-install them back to the battery

Sounds like the alternator is being commanded on too hard.
Did you touch the alternator wiring while doing the compressor?
Did you have the battery disconnected while doing this job?
Ok, does the alternator wiring look damaged or disconnected in any way?
I would say the cluster has shut down from over voltage.
You need to get the vehicle to an auto electrician.
With 25v on the positive rail, you will damage other parts.
